Rage Media Studios is an internet media production company; we record, mix, master, design and edit various types of media.

We often help artists develop Demos, L.P. or E.P. releases. If you are looking to put out a single, make an EP or put out a full-length record, we can guide you through the process and make the end result is something that stands out, and is commercially competitive. iTunes and Beatport are just an example of some of our digital outlets we have successfully landed our artist's productions.

If you are already an artist/musician, we have solutions and packages to fit your needs. If you have always dreamed of starting a band or you just want to improve your skills, we live and breathe for music and media.

Our philosophy works under the premise that each project is unique and requires a fresh approach, an open mind and a little time to make it come to life.

We use a unique process to identify what your sound or image is and make that translate in the best possible way to your project. One of the keys to good production is thorough pre-production. We start by listening to your catalog of music to find which of your songs are the best to move forward with.

When the songs are chosen we check each song's tempo, key and arrangement as well as some experimentation to make sure each song has been fully explored. We pay special attention to your projects at their core, as that is the single most important part of the process.

We use various types of software like Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton and Reason, just to name a few. Multiple DAW's and outboard gear like the NI MASCHINE make electronic beat production a breeze for our engineers. However, we don't just deal with software synths, plugins and live in front of our Macs. Deep within our fortified bunker we have access to tons of outboard gear and an arsenal of digital and analog consoles, and we can help develop and design the type of sound you're looking for.

Voice-overs (also known as off-camera or off-stage commentary) is a production technique where a voice that is not part of the narrative is used in a radio, television production, filmmaking, theatre or other presentations. Our staff is able to supply you and your project with a roster of different voice-over actors.

Mastering, a form of audio post-production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a storage device; the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication)

Recently, the format choice includes using digital masters. Although analog masters, such as audio tapes, are still being used by the manufacturing industry and by a few engineers who have chosen to specialize in analog mastering.

In order to make a deterministic process, mastering requires critical listening; there are software-mastering tools available to facilitate this last step, but results still depend upon the accuracy of speaker monitors.

In addition, "music mastering" engineers may also need to apply corrective equalization and dynamic enhancement in order to improve upon sound translation on all playback systems.

Sound design is the process of specifying, acquiring, manipulating or generating audio elements. Our team has the capability to create sound elements for a variety of disciplines including filmmaking, television production, theatre, sound recording and reproduction, post-production and video game software development that is unique to your project.

Our sound design team will make any unique sound that you're looking for to make your project original. We can manipulate previously composed or recorded audio, such as music and sound effects. We can also create any new sound from scratch that you are looking for. Also, we have the ability to do a composition or manipulation of audio to create a desired effect or mood.

Already have a project that has been previously recorded? Need some one to mix down your Pro Tools session? We can mix your studio sessions, live sessions and more.

We offer audio post-production for any type of video production and post-production and mixing services for all types of projects, big or small, from conception to completion.

Post-production work is what is called "spotting" or "spotting for music". Spotting is the process of viewing the locked cut and deciding where the music score will be and where the source music will be needed. "Spotting for sound" is the process of determining:

    • • If and where any dialogue problems may exist so that ADR can be cued to record.
    • • Where sound effects are needed and what kind.
    • • What Foley effects will be needed in the film, and where.
    • • If sound design (the creation of special sound effects) will also be needed.

Score composition: Musical score creates depth and emotion in your film production. For this reason, our team considers score composition as a crucial aspect of post-production. We score your composition to enhance the storyline of the production and stay true to the original project.

Foley: Our studio is able to compliment any sound that is needed for your film production by doing some limited Foley. By adding human sound effects recorded in sync with the picture gives your project a more authentic feel.

The last element of the post-production process is mixing (also called dubbing). Our Mixers have the responsibility of balancing the various elements of the dialogue (and ADR), music, sound effects, and Foley effects. Our Dialogue Mixer commands the mixing stage; his partners in the mix are the Effects Mixer and the Music Mixer. On large features, we will bring on additional mixer just to handle the Foley effects. On huge pictures with tight deadlines we will have several teams of mixers working simultaneously on numerous stages in order to complete the mix by the release date.
